Drivers warned of more congestion after cut in tolls

DRIVERS have been warned of serious congestion on the Shanghai-Jiading Expressway, or A12, at peak periods after some tolls were reduced and others abolished.

Traffic volume on A12 was nearly double the previous average during the six hours from 6am yesterday and there was serious congestion from 7 am to 9am, the Shanghai Highway Administration said.

All toll express way and brigde should be cancelled, because we have paid gas tax..

I still remember, many years ago, I lived in Puxi, while i need to take company shuttle bus to Pudong every morning, and back to Puxi at PM on every workday.

At that moment, Nanpu bridge was also a toll bridge, we wait in line almost every time, but later the toll policy cancelled at last.

I think to solve serious congestion  of A12, goverment should learn  the practical experiance from Nanpu bridge since A12 is a very short expressway in side of Shanghai..

that is to say either you work in JiaDing district or you live there, I could prefer to say that you work in JiaDing district.

well, the assumption is quite simple
#1, how much is the toll fee? 20RMB per each pass. it is not a big amount right? unless for those commuter, since their pass is a kind of recurrent issue.
#2, you are quite actively joining in English study, which means you got some where that need English very often, if I surmise you work in a foreign investment company, then JiaDing district is somehow the likely place that you are working in.

I also heard the related news from radio in Monday morning and Tuesday morning..
