《新阅读３６０》丛书的介绍
该丛书自２０世纪６０年代问世以来，一直是英国公、私立学校的首选 读教材，而且也是全世界英语、半英语国家和地区学校采用率最高的英语 读教材。它内在的逻辑性与科学性，目前在世界上仍是独一无二的。在英格兰的所有书店，该丛书几乎都是专柜销售。
１．由于该系列在选材、编撰和定量时，充分运用了现代心理学对语言学习过程等方面的研究成果，每级每册书的长短都是根据读者的阅读水平来决定的。同一级中，册与册之间不但内容相互关联，而且词汇量也是严格控制的。这样，使用者可在最大可能的轻松心态中，完成一册书的阅读。在不断肯定自己自信心的同时，由易至难，建立自己的英文词汇量。
２．科学的阅读程度分级使该系列一身兼二用，既可当教材使用，又可用来测试阅读水平。该系列能使阅读教学规范化，教师对学生、学生对自己的程度和进度会有非常透明的了解。这一优点又使该系列的应用面很广，不同程度的使用者可以很方便地测试自己的阅读水平，然后挑选与自己程度相应的级进入。

全套书分十二级。每级由六册和一本练习册组成；
小学是1----4级；5----12级是中学的，另外配光盘。

6. Once upon a time there was a little girl and her name was Little Red Riding Hood. She lived with her mother near a big wood.
