上戏儿童合作园英语戏剧班活动报告-2011年9月15&18日
复旦附小泰尔亲王
星期四,9月15日
9月15日第二次课,我们完成了整个剧本的通读。栏杆扶手和长凳的布景也到位了,我们排练了第一幕。道具灵柩的尺寸正好。在排练中,每个人都全情投入;Alois, Mark, Benny, 和 Linda 已保证下次排练的时候能够脱稿排练第一幕。我们打算在国庆节前完成全剧的场景构建。

We finished reading the play and staged the first scene, working with the actual balustrades and bench that form the set. Cherry, as Thaisa, fit the coffin perfectly (a first). Everyone was attentive and cooperative; enthusiasm is high. Alois, Mark, Benny, and Linda agreed to know their lines for Scene 1 when we review it next week. Our goal is to complete the initial staging of the play prior to National Day holiday.

“洞穴居民”
我们再次阅读并排练了第一幕。导演为Hong Yuan诠释了Gorky每次咆哮和呻吟的特定意义。她将在网上仔细揣摩如何把熊表演得更到位。Ricky作为拆爆老板的角色有点小变化,他的帮手Jamie的角色没有了。
周五晚上,上学期学习“马克白”,这学期学习“洞穴居民”的高级班的一些同学在上海戏剧学院观看了中文版的莎士比亚“马克白”的表演。跟自己的英文版“马克白”相比较,他们感觉到了很多可取之处,也有意见不一致的地方。 它对于我们是一次非常有益的经历。
“奥兹国的格琳达”
第一次大声朗读剧本。小规模的班级使每个人演双重或多重角色成为必要。为了避免一个学生扮演的不同角色需要同时出现在台上的冲突,一些台词也需要做相应地调整。在国庆节之前,每位同学将收到这部戏剧的CD录音,由导演朗诵,帮助同学们的发音。

“The Cave Dwellers”
We re-read the first scene and staged it. The director helped Hong Yuan to give specific meanings to each of Gorky’s growls and moans, and she is to research performing bears on the internet. Ricky’s scenes as the Demolition Boss were tweaked to eliminate the role of Jamie, his helper.
On Friday night several students from the Advanced Class attended a performance of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” in Chinese, at Shanghai Theatre Academy. Comparing it to their own production of “Macbeth,” they found much to admire and much with which they disagreed. It was a very instructive experience for all of us.
“Glinda of Oz”
The play was read aloud for the first time anywhere. The small size of the class necessitates that everyone play two or more roles, which required a number of lines to be transferred to other characters, in order to avoid instances of a student playing different parts that appear together in the same scene. Prior to National Day holiday, each student will receive a cd recording of the play, spoken by the director, to assist their pronunciation.

Jonathan由于家事需离开,导演Thomas临时顶替。大声朗读了第一幕的剧本三次,每一次都是由不同小组的同学。接着,整个剧本通读。在阅读的基础上,Thomas建议了以下的表演人员安排,到时还需得到Jonathan的认可。

每位同学都需要在上下节课之前他们各自的台词。最终的演员安排将由Jonathan或Thomas决定。在国庆节之前,每位同学将收到这部戏剧的CD录音,由导演Thomas朗诵,帮助同学们的发音。
“The Incompleat Pogo Play”
Director Thomas substituted for Jonathan, who was temporarily called away on family business. The first scene was read aloud three times, each time with a different group of students. Following that, the entire play was read aloud. Based on that reading, Thomas recommends the following casting, subject to Jonathan’s approval:

The part of Fremont the Boy Bug, who speaks only two words, has been cut.
