走进CTY-Profile: CTY大学校园
大概是受了计划性极强的爸爸妈妈的影响，Isa小小年龄就有了对任何事情都做周密计划的好习惯。她写的CTY夏令营感想着手于如何做入营前整体计划，如何努力认真地准备考试，以及如何在家里用显微镜做观察实验为入营做热身活动。
Isa为我们生动活泼地再现了她在CTY的Crystals and Polymers的精彩课堂。同学们在课堂上认识和学习了很多结晶体和宝石，并且每人亲自写了如何雕琢宝石的报告，同学们还研究了石榴石的构成和生活中常见的聚合物包括尼龙，塑料，纸张等。在实验室里同学们观察了老师如何用聚合物制成尼龙和泡沫的有趣实验。
Isa还积极参加了艺术史、电影欣赏、瑜伽、折纸、游戏等有趣的夏令营课外活动。她最大的收获是和同学、室友、老师和助教结下了深厚的友谊，此外她还非常自豪的是教会了室友Elena说一些简单的中文单词和句子，充当了传播中国文化的小大使。
ReadingWriting/Literature Wonders英文课堂每周聚在一起的同学们都非常想念Isa，每次上课时聚在一起说到Isa时连连赞叹她今年度过了一个愉快又幸福的暑假。我们期待着Isa回来时为我们亲自讲述她在纽约大都会博物馆，华盛顿自然博物馆，肯尼迪剧院观看《狮子王》，参观白宫以及在CTY的其他精彩见闻。 （本文由CTY上海申请服务中心提供）

以下是Isa同学写的参加美国约翰霍普金斯大学2014CTY夏校感想——
CTY
Preparing:
I went to CTY this summer, but it’s all about hard working before the trip to CTY. In October 2013, my dad and my teacher helped me to prepare for the entry test to CTY and I made it finally. I suggest you should be logical and serious about the preparation, because you may lose the opportunity to take your desired class if you were not well prepared. Why did I say this? Because if you’re late for application, the better ones would have been chosen by other students. Plus I love the topic “CPOL” and I didn’t want to lose my chance to take it. Before going to CTY, I also did some microscope experiments at home and use my microscope for observing salt or sugar.
In Class:
In class, we learned different crystals and gems during the first week. I knew that there are some huge “crystal castles” in the world, but the crystal seeds can’t grow that huge anymore if the scientists did not involve. It’s a question for them if they should continue to pour out the water to let people come in or to fill the cave with water again. We made a report about gemstones. I researched about garnets.
We discovered different polymers in our life such as nylon, plastic and paper.
In the lab we saw teachers use chemical to make nylon and foam. During the 3rd week we found out the DNAs in strawberry. Also we made an introduction and certificate in the field of crystals or polymers.
Activity:
The activities are interesting and fun. I had Art-History, movie appreciation and yoga for weekly activity. And there were a lot of amazing daily activities, like origami, swimming and a game named GHOST.
Friends:
I built good friendship with my classmates, hall mates and RAs. Our RA allowed us to watch TV and movies. We also enjoyed sharing her seaweeds. I had a good time with Elena and Amy in our mini sleepover. Elena asked me to teach her Chinese Mandarin. Now she knew how to say some simple words and easy sentences in Chinese.
