英语填空题

A crow was s___  in a big tree. She had a bige piece of meat in her mouth.

填了sitting，教师批，是错的，填什么更好呢.

smiling, 不知对不对.

我觉得就应该是sitting, 为什么老师批是错的呢？那只有请教这位老师正确答案是什么了。.

standing 吧，Crow 不能sitting 呀.

A crow( 乌鸦) is sitting in a big tree. She has a big piece of meat in her mouth. "My babies will have a nice breakfast," she thinks. An old fox is looking for his breakfast. He sees the crow and the meat. "how can I get that piece of meat?" he thinks.
      "Good morning, Mrs Crow," says the fox, "how are you?"
      But the .crow doesn't say a word.
      "You have very nice babies, Mrs Crow," says the fox, "how are they? May I see them?"
      Still the crow doesn't say a word.
      "You are very beautiful, Mrs Crow. And you have a beautiful voice(嗓子),too." says the fox, "Would you please sing a song for me?"
      Mrs Crow thinks," How nice Mr Fox is! I must sing him a song." So she opens her mouth and begins to sing. At that time, the meat drops down (掉下)from her mouth.

我认为standing 和sitting 都是值得商榷的答案。这应该是“狐狸和乌鸦”这个故事里一段话吧，我倒是觉得后面这个介词in 比较特别，不过也许是想表达乌鸦在树上且被树荫掩映的意思吧。.

see 的过去分词是seen[tt37].

我想了想，是不是应该是Singing？晕，晕。.

哦，汗，后面没看。我前面说的不对，Crow可以用sitting的，sitting 是对的，如果说sitting on the tree 肯定是对的。我都搞糊涂了。standing不对的。
in a tree. 我会想到in a hollow tree. 就是那种树里面是空的。那么是不是sleeping，snoozing? 猜谜语。[tt28]

记得以前老师说过,按照习惯用法,国外是用 in the tree, 而不是根据中文直译为 on the tree.
要么再谈论下.a crow sat in a big tree

出题者的意图估计是填"standing"吧.关于tree 前的介词,这里用in 应该是对的,on the tree是指长在树上(如苹果).如果用branch,可以用on.

句子如果用了she 那已经拟人化了, 那sitting 和standing 也没有大的区分了.估计可能是老师阅卷用了标准的Answer Key . 还蛮有趣的.就等等楼主的答案吧.也许会豁然开朗呢..
